Additional Information

The grape is Trebbiano, mainly from Tuscany and in a small part of Romagna; it was only present in the Ovidio vineyard, which I have rented since 2004 and which was planted in 1968. At that time he was planting part of Trebbiano for its characteristic generous productivity. Today it has almost disappeared from us, unfairly snubbed as a “wine”. In 2004 it was my first experience of vinification of this grape variety and, easily overcome the perplexities on the "miserable fame" which accompanies it (I now have the habit of going against the tide, by following more the old ones. traditions, rather than new fashions), as usual, I noticed how generous nature and in this specific case the Vineyard is if only we can with humility, deep respect and a lot of love, accompany it in its seasonal cycles. The result is a wine to say the least surprising, pleasant, graceful and at the same time with strong and well-defined aromas and flavors. Once again, I must say thank you to the Vine who managed to move me, giving me a wine that exceeds all expectations. So much so that already the following year, in 2005, we planted about 1 hectare. Agreements: Surely fantastic in combination with all our typical cold cuts, it can also be on many starters, white meats, soft cheeses etc., but precisely because it is a non-aromatic grape, the wine has its maximum exaltation at the aperitif!
something

“All this for us is not a simple job, but a modus vivendi, which allows us, thanking God, to live in symbiosis with Nature, sharing the wonderful annual cycle of the vine, savoring the changing of the seasons.”
