  • Other Information:Vigna dell'Asina (donkey vineyard), Cabernet Franc. Our experience and the observation of our land over the years have brought us to a better understanding of each vineyard's potential expression, leading us to produce wines sourced from a single plot. In the Vigna dell'Asina vineyard, on plot n° 348 of cadastral sheet n° 71, the soil is rich in clay schist and palombini limestone, the winds that blow in from the areas further inland create great temperature swings and mark its microclimate. This grape variety was planted on the estate by the first owners of the winery intending to produce a wine to be enjoyed with the delicious pigeons they bred Agening: 8 months in cement tanks; vinificated with 20% of whole bunch

Ampeleia is located in Maremma (Tuscany) on the Colline Metallifere (Metal hills) and is characterized by its high-rise from 200 to 600m above sea level that conveys biodiversity.

It is a biodynamic farm managed by a group of young people in which Marco Tait expresses the vision of Elisabetta Foradori and Giovanni Podini and the terroir through the wines (Cabernet Franc and Mediterranean varieties).

Today Ampeleia is: 35ha vineyards, 54ha wood, 32ha arable and grazing land, 1.5ha olive grove, vegetable garden, orchard, 6 cows, chicken.
