Additional Information

The Mariarosa vineyard, owned since 1968, is located in Saccol of Valdobbiadene at the bottom of “Col Croset” adjacent to the ruins of Bastia of Mondeserto, the ancient fortification dating back to the XII century. The vertical posture of the ground is cultivated on the fertile edges taken from the rocks. The sandstone matrix is calcareous over the clay underlayer. The rows are arranged around the hill on three different levels connected by a pathway. The vineyard is situated at approximately 250 metres above sea level MAMSL and it covers 0,5 hectares of land surrounded to the north and west by a forest of black hornbeam, oak and thorntree.
something
We are a family farm founded in 1924, and have been vignerons in Valdobbiadene for 5 generations. The culture of the soil fertility is the most important thing for us. We have never used chemical fertilization or herbicides because we cut the grass for the cows, and we use just cows manure. Our objective is to transfer the vineyard balance into the wine, nothing else. Thank you and cheers!
