Additional Information

Chardonnay from a mature parcel of 0.62ha planted in 1982. It's on a limestone plateau with red marl soils on top. Spontaneous fermentation in neutral oak with indigenous yeasts. It's raised for 9 months on its fine lees, ouillé, (in used casks.) Marcus is full of freshness. Aromatics of apple, and pepper. Lively, the wine leaves a pleasant note of coriander on a long finish.
something
The vineyard is worked organically, the vines picked by hand. They are divided between Chardonnay and Savagnin for the whites (90% of the production) and between Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard for the reds. Faithful to their convictions, the Buronfosse work their wines very naturally, minimizing technical interventions and, of course, oenological products. A more empirical than technological vinification while using modern tools. The result is wines that are totally sincere and frank, perfectly reflecting their terroir and the profiles of the vintages.
