Additional Information

Blend of Savagnin with some Chardonnay as well hand-harvested from vines grown in limestone, clay, and marl soils. The grapes are directly-pressed and undergo spontaneous fermentation (ambient yeasts,no temperature control) before a short élevage and bottling unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. Citrus fruits, salted stone, almond, chalk fill the nose and mouth with a beautiful elegance and persistence. A light oxidizing texture binds and amplifies sensations and reflections.
something
The vineyard is worked organically, the vines picked by hand. They are divided between Chardonnay and Savagnin for the whites (90% of the production) and between Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard for the reds. Faithful to their convictions, the Buronfosse work their wines very naturally, minimizing technical interventions and, of course, oenological products. A more empirical than technological vinification while using modern tools. The result is wines that are totally sincere and frank, perfectly reflecting their terroir and the profiles of the vintages.
