"Star bright in the glass, with moss, lemon zest, peach kernel, toasted grain and hybrid tea rose on the nose. Mouthwatering ocean breeze and a sappy, juicy abundance of fresh lime and white peach juiciness on the silken palate; margarita like. The finish is transparent to a veritable carpet of mineral matter – albeit a levitating, vibrantly undulating one! Crushed stone, alkali, mineral salts and iodine combine with herbal and protein-rich flavours for something approximating a blend of oyster liquor and clam stock that set the salivary glands to palpitating."

Planted in 1975 by a German farmer, only 1/2 acre in size, 4 rows of Riesling next to 2 rows of Semillon. Picked together and co-fermented wild in older barrels.

Brash Higgins is a minimal intervention, certified Organic winery in McLaren Vale. We farm our own 17 acre Organic estate vineyard called Omensetter planted to Nero d'Avola, Shiraz, Cab Sav and Crystal. Also work with amphora, orange wines, biodynamic and sustainable fruit from other vineyards we admire. Production is at about 3000 cases, BH makes 12-13 different wines annually.
