From the Grower
"Intense ruby red color, very natural perfume. A wine with a dense and soft texture, which combines strength and elegance. It goes well with all traditional dishes: cold cuts, legumes minestrone, stuffed pasta and risotto; roasts; aged cheeses."

Additional Information

SHORT HISTORY: Auriel is an organic - biodynamic wine estate founded in 2005 by members Felice Cappa and his wife Marta Peloso, on the sweet hills of Monferrato, in Piedmont. The 3-hectares vineyard, planted in 2007-2008 is set within the about 60 acres pristine farmland of woods, orchards and arable soils. We started working the soil and growing the vines according to the biodynamic modern method, from the very beginning of our activity. Cultivating a vineyard naturally and making wine accordingly is a work that sees the body participant in a creative act, which requires efforts and constant attention for several months a year. “Cultivating a vineyard naturally is like dancing between Heaven and Earth”. The image of the dancer on the bottle label is a drawing that the Nobel Prize winner Mr. DARIO FO has dedicated at the birth of this wine, thanks to his generosity and friendship with the owners.

Auriel is an organic -biodynamic winery founded in 2005 by Marta Peloso and his husband Felice Cappa, on the sweet hills of Monferrato, in Piedmont. The vineyard of three hectars, planted in 2007-2008, is set right in the center of over 60 hectares of pristine farmlands and woods. We cultivate according to the biodynamic modern method. We do not use any synthetic chemicals, neither fertilizers or herbicides. We work to promote the action of the natural elements in the vineyard, trying never to intervene directly on the plant, but promoting its health and self-sufficiency through the creation of a vital soil and an optimal relationship between the deep roots of the plant and its terroir. In winemaking , we follow the same basic criteria applied in the field work. We aim to never intervene directly on the physical body of the substances (grapes, must),  carefully “conducting” their transformation .
