Alcohol: 12% Bottle size: 75cl Average age of vines: 50 years De-stemming, film maceration for 7 to 10 days, alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts. Ageing: 8 months in French oak barrels of 300 l without batonnage. Citrus, pear and white fruit with hints of Mediterranean herbs, flowers, almond and minerals. Incredible balance of sweetness, alcohol and acidity. Warm bread, apple and citrus with great persistence until the end of the aftertaste with light menthol nuances.

Former pharmacist in the Barcelona region, Amós Bañeres decided to change life a few years ago. He came back to his native Penedès and took over the 5.5 h family vineyards. Xarel-Lo, Macabeu, Parellada, Garnatxa Negre, small production, organic viticulture since the beginning… A lot of attention is given to the viticulture and vinification. Amós knows how to let his grapes have time, but doesn’t neglect any details. The resulting production is so far very tiny, he uses amphoras and old barrels for his vinification in the small shed just next to his house.
