Weingut lichti & astroh

We are lichti & astroh (Freya Lichti & Alexander Strohschneider), a small winery in the Palatinate region that is still in its startup phase. We work according to organic guidelines (ECOVIN) and we only have fully fermented wines in our range. They are all handpicked, spontaneously fermented, unfiltered and only slightly sulphured - also known as 'low-intervention' wines. We also attach great importance to the vineyard and the grape variety which should be expressed as purely and authentically as possible. In 2022 we established ourselves with our own vineyards in Leistadt (Bad Dürkheim) where we had been able to lease old uncleared limestone plots. We will cultivate on 10 hectares mainly Riesling, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay organically (still in conversion). Since our beginning we became a member of ECOVIN which is a german federation of ecological viticulture. You find our winery in Herxheim/Berg in an old grange. A very old and deep cellar allows us to age our wines in barrels over years. We would be pleased to welcome you at our winery.
