Weingut Daniel Jaunegg

We (Jasmin & Daniel) are working in the second generation of a family based winery. We are located on EICHBERG, this belongs to the area SÜDSTEIERMARK. (Austria) We are working on 9ha, which are organic certified. At the moment, we are in conversion to Demeter. We are convinced that the low-intervention way is the right way. In detail, this means for us the focus is on the vineyards - we take care, we protect and support the "life" in the vineyards. We try to do as many things as possible by hand. Of course, all grapes are hand-picked. We strive for low yield - approximately 3.000 kg per hectar. In the cellar, we are working completely reserved: all wines are fermented with their own yeast, we avoid additives, fining and filtration. The wines get their time, they need. (at least one year, sometimes two years or more to ripen perfectly on the yeast) Until bottling, all wines are complete without sulfit. We use 10mg/l before we fill them. This gives us a bit of "be safe".
