The small winery at the Mosel has been in family hands for many generations. Since 2015 we are treading a new path. Purist wine styles are taking hold, the switch to organic farming methods began. We are in transition to organic farming and will be fully certified in September 2023. Our Riesling vines grow on Merl's steeps southwest facing slopes. Organic farming as the basis for healthy soils and vines and hand-harvesting for happy grapes. Organic farming is still considered as pretty crazy at the steep slopes of the Mosel that anyhow require a lot of handwork, but we believe that's the only way to make wine the way we want it to be and respect nature. Our winemaking principals: pressing, cold sedimentation, storage for fermentation and plenty of time. No wine treatment, no finings, no corrections, no additives and in case of our Isaac Line also no filtration - Vintage typical wines that reflect their terroir and origin.
