We are Dido and Jurriaan. The last five years we have been traveling the world to make wine on different locations. We’ve been to South Africa, Australia, Chile, France and Spain. In these years we learned the basic principle of how to make wine, learning from different cultures and interpretations. Since May 2018 we are the proud owners of 9,5 hectares of vineyards at the foot of the Pyrenees, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The vineyards were planted between 10-15 years ago on schist soils. The grapes: Garnacha, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera and Tannat. This spring we will graft different white varieties (Macabeo, Grenache Blanc, Perelada and Chenin Blanc) onto old Merlot. The following years we will focus on restoring the vineyards, converting them to biodynamics. We live remote and independent, using solely solar power and use water from the well. A veggie garden is in the making as we speak, according to permacultural methods. We harvest our grapes early, yielding low alcohol wines but with a natural high acidity which we like. Our harvest 2018 was our first one and we are happy with the result. None of the wines have received any addition of so2.
