My estate spreads over 3.30-ha on the territory of Régnié-Durette, a village of the Beaujolais wine country where I settled in 2018, after working in prestigious Burgundy wineries for several years. I took over from the previous owner who was ready to retire and was looking for someone to pursue his endeavor; the estate was AB certified in 2007 and Démeter certified in 2010, and has remained as such since then. The estate is planted with gamay vines in 3 appellations: Morgon, Régnié and Beaujolais-Villages. All the vineyards are located at an altitude of 300 to 400 m. There are 5 Morgon vineyards which are located in Saint Joseph. Cultivation implies the use of copper, which I try to reduce as much as possible. I combine those products with a systematical use of herbal infusions (nettle, horsetail, wicker) as well as fermented nettle and comfrey extracts. Grape picking is manual. Vinification: Grapes are let to macerate in full bunches in vats for 7 to 10 days, then pressed. The wines are aged in vats.
- Size of their farm: 3 (ha)
- Size of farm under vine: 3 (ha)
- All grapes are dry-farmed. None of the vineyards are irrigated.
- All grapes are harvested manually.
