About Restaurant Lode & Stijn
We opened Lode & Stijn in April 2016, creating a restaurant that celebrates high-quality regional and seasonal products. The restaurant is casual yet refined, and our menu draws on our experience, skills and creativity to prepare our ingredients in the best possible way. While our food changes over the course of the year, we keep fragments of other seasons as preserves and ferments, all of which we make in-house.
Our dynamic changing menu serves a selection of dishes that we think best represents our style of cooking and showcases regional and seasonal products. We inspire ourselves trough flavors and technics from different European cuisines. We collect produce from Berlins surrounding lands, Fresh fish from the North sea and buy animals direct from our Farmers.
On the first weekend of December, the RAW wine fair is happening again at Markthalle Neun.
We will open the restaurant on Sunday 1st of December for a special evening:
our good friend Jim de Jong from Restaurant Jim de Jong in Rotterdam will be joining us to create a four hands dinner.
Jim and Lode will create a six course menu, which will be based around the beautiful products we work with at the restaurant.
During this RAW weekend, our sommelier Ole will create a wine menu, which will include some rare bottles. On Sunday he will poor a unique wine pairing especially made for this evening.
