L'Ambre Blanc is my project in Lutzelhouse, Alsace. Since 2026 I farm 3.85 ha of vines on the Stierkopf, a south facing slope of Vosges sandstone near Mutzig, at 200 to 300 m, certified organic (AB, Ecocert). Fermentation and ageing in kvevri, buried in the cellar. Indigenous yeasts only, no temperature control, no added sulphur, no fining, no filtration. Before taking on these vines, I worked as a négociant: I bought grapes from partner growers, all certified organic, worked in their vineyards alongside them, and vinified everything myself in kvevri. 2026 is my first harvest from my own vines; those wines are still in kvevri.
