Kerasus is a Wine Heritage Project.
It is dedicated to researching and reviving traditional viticulture techniques that have been forgotten in the region. Among these techniques, it focuses on the married vine method, one of the practices closest to nature.

Today, wine is produced in all regions of Turkey except the Black Sea. Yet archival records show that from ancient times until 1923, many wines were produced in the Black Sea region and exported to Europe. Although the winemaking tradition here shares deep historical roots with neighboring Georgia, misguided state policies caused the viticultural heritage of the Black Sea to be forgotten and grape cultivation to disappear.

With the population exchange between Turkey and Greece in 1923, winemaking in the Black Sea region came to a complete halt.

Kerasus aims to revive this forgotten cultural heritage by rediscovering lost grape varieties and ancient winemaking techniques, and reinterpreting them through research and development for the present day.
