Esters is a chic wine bar with some really great food, a massive planet-friendly wine collection, thoughtful cocktails and a beautifully curated shop in the heart of downtown Santa Monica. We’re like your neighborhood clubhouse with fun programming and a relaxing place to drink, eat and socialize. Our expert team is committed to ensuring that the hundreds of wines on our shelves all come from chemical-free vineyards and from small producers who are focused on building healthy soils through responsible farming practices that include regenerative, biodynamic, organic, no till, dry farm. A 2023 James Beard Semifinalist for “Outstanding Bar,” we also feature a variety of seasonal cocktails and mocktails. Inspired by our favorite bistros and wine bars in Spain and France, our “little kitchen that could” whips up an all-day menu of farmers' market-driven dishes, snacks and cheeses that pair with wine, including a daily happy hour.
