Domaine La Garagista has one foot in the mountains and another in the valley of Vermont. We reside on Mount Hunger at the edge of the Chateauguay Forest and also on the edge of Lake Champlain in the Champlain Valley where we grow alpine wines, co-ferments, and ciders. On the farm and in our vineyards we attend to the care and observation of our landscape with a diverse agriculture informed by biodynamics and that incorporates rotational grazing and a silvo-viticulture, a style of farming that is inspired by the tension between the wild and cultivated. Vegetables, fruits, and flowers, in addition to our wine, feed our pop-up caviste and supper club. Our goal is to let the narrative of the landscape tell a story within each of our bottles.
