Domaine du Frère

After being trained by Yvon Métras, Bernard Baudry and other mentors, we created this estate in 2019 where I grew up in Chinon. Our passion is to compare the 7 terroirs and to see how the same grape variety (Cabernet Franc and Chenin) will taste different depending on the kind of subsoil and topsoil it grew on (flint, yellow limestone, white limestone / different proportion of clay). We work 9 ha, 7 plots so 7 cuvées with the name of the plot. We want produce site specific, lively wines.
