One day two passions met: wine making and love of the countryside and became obsession of five friends. First contact with Bliskowice was crucial. Walks midst limestone hills and view on the flowing below river defined philosophy of Dom Bliskowice. We decided that all we do will be to the scale and atmosphere of local landscape. First planting took place in the year 2009. Finding ammonite fossils was a good sign. Very quickly the potential of the site was confirmed. Small, diversified plots make a difference in maturation of the grapes. Southwest exposure provides proper levels of sunlight. Big river plays role of natural warm buffer during winters and delivers protective foggy autumns. We are learning. We are following small winemakers from France, Italy and Hungary. But we are not trying to make burgundy or toscan wine or tokay. The climate is limitation which we are trying to change into advantage. We expect our plants to adopt. They are not winterized and are joy to watch during the winter as well. 2010 – First trial run production 2011 – Wine with DB logo is recognized during professional degustations in Poland 2012 – Continuation of excellent tasting results 2013 – After protracted bureaucratic battle DB obtained license to sell Localization: Malopolski Przelom Wisly, Poland Area planted – 5 ha Amount produced - 180 HL
