Bossanova is an independent winery in Controguerra, in the Colline Teramane of Abruzzo. Founded in 2018 by Andrea Quaglia, it farms ten hectares of vines between the Gran Sasso mountains and the Adriatic Sea.

The vineyards are cultivated according to biodynamic principles, with respect for the soil and the biodiversity around them. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation, concrete vessels, terracotta amphorae and minimal intervention allow Trebbiano and Montepulciano to express their place without unnecessary additions or manipulation.

Today, Andrea leads the work in the vineyards and cellar, alongside Mathias Kær, who joined as co-owner in 2026 and brings Bossanova to new audiences internationally. Together, they share a clear ambition: to make living wines with an unmistakable Abruzzese identity—vibrant, honest and made to be shared.
