ALEPA is an artisanal winery committed to protecting biodiversity, which it pursues by promoting the native grape variety of the area surrounding the village of Caiazzo. We are located in northern Campania, in the province of Caserta, in a hilly area characterized by strong biodiversity and the presence of the Volturno River. The native grape variety of this area is Pallagrello, both white and red, which boasts an ancient and noble history, closely linked to the splendor of the Bourbon royal family, the dynasty that built the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta. All ALEPA wines are made using a natural winemaking process, that is, spontaneous fermentations triggered by indigenous yeasts, without preservatives or other chemical additives, and without fining, stabilization, or filtration. The grapes are naturally harvested using regenerative agriculture methods, thus going well beyond organic farming. Ours is a systemic approach to sustainability that involves not only minimizing our carbon footprint but also enhancing the role of humans and rural communities, and respecting ancestral practices.
