This Montepulciano selection comes from the oldest vines of our vineyards, a selected area on top of a hill. This wine age for about 20 months in vitrified concrete thanks and about 6 months in bottle before going out into the market.

A few years ago, Andrea and I decided to change our lives and go back to our land to continue our families and region traditions with a touch of innovation. In 2018 we founded Bossanova inheriting our Grandpa old vineyards planted in the 70s and the winery where he used to make wine. The quality and the position of our vineyards, located between mountains and sea, the biological diversity due to olive groves and greens, the biodynamic practices and our passionate and fair approaches, make the perfect receipt to produce a quality natural wine. Currently we produce 4 wines: · Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC: Trebbiano d’Abruzzo is the most important indigenous grape in Abruzzo together with Montepulciano. The wine after a short maceration ferments and age in vitrified concrete tanks. The result is a great balance of minerality, aroma and acidity. · Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC: Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo comes from Montepulciano grapes vinified in white. We use vitrified concrete tanks for fermentation, no macerations, the result is a perfect balance of acidity and aroma, rounded and rich taste · Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC: Montepulciano is the king of the Abruzzo’s wines and comparing with most producers the region, we don’t use any wood to age it. This because is a very rich variety, great aroma, spiced, balsamic, fruity, tannins. We ferment and age it in vitrified concrete tanks to let reveal all his caratheristics. This is the “younger version” made from a slightly anticipated harvest, grape stomping, short maceration in order to enhance the freshness · Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG SELEZIONE: This Montepulciano selection comes from the oldest vines of our vineyards, a selected area on top of a hill. This wine age for about 20 months in vitrified concrete thanks and about 6 months in bottle before going out into the market. We only produce wines based on spontaneous fermentation and we don’t add any substance to sophisticate the wines. All our wines are now between 20 and 45 mg/l of SO2
