  • Other Information:Andeira is an ancestral sparkling red wine from barbera grapes hand-picked in Vicario vineyards – plantation year between 1970 and 2000 – with 50-60 q. per ha yield. It is vinified in old wood toneaux or barrels, with spontaneous fermentation (native yeasts only) and extended (2-4 weeks) maceration. Aging is done for 6 months at least in already used oak tonneaux. In the local dialect of 19th century, Andeira means "gait".
