Koba Kvatchrelishvili founded NAOTARI in 2012 in partnership with his two sons, Rezo and Aleksi Kvatchrelishvili. Yet, making Kakhetian style qvevri wine with prolonged skin contact has been a long-time tradition kept in Kvatchrelishvili family wine cellar for generations.
NAOTARI produces artisanal, low-intervention wines from Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Khikhvi and Saperavi grapes that are grown on 3ha of family-owned, sustainably farmed vineyards located in Chikaani village in Kakheti. Naotari wines, currently with limited production at around 5,000 bottles, are unfiltered while no additives or artificial yeast are used in winemaking.
