From Tuscany to Sicily:
Winegrowers’ tasting Sequerciani & Salvatore Marino

Stunning natural wines from native grape varieties

Saturday 30th November 2019, from 7 p.m. (open end)
Tasting fee € 14,00 per person for all 8 wines, no reservation requiered

Italy’s number of native grape varieties is legendary. Wherever you go you’ll find a great local wine culture and winegrowers who respect and continue the regional traditions. Two of them will be our guests on the evening of Saturday 30th November: Sequerciani from Southwest Tuscany (Grosseto, Maremma) and Salvatore Marino from Southeast Sicily (Noto, Siracusa).

You will taste wines from nearly extinct varieties like Foglia Tonda and Pugnitello as well as the alluring Ciliegiolo, and discover a different, natural style of the Sicilian top dogs Catarratto and Nero d’Avola, far away from the mainstream scale.

These are the 8 different dry wines that will be served:

– Sequerciani Libello 2018 (Sangiovese/Ciliegiolo)
– Sequerciani Ciliegiolo 2018
– Sequerciani Foglia Tonda 2018
– Sequerciani Pugnitello 2017
– Sequerciani Verment’Oro 2017 (Vermentino with skin contact, not served during RAW WINE)

– Salvatore Marino »TURI bianco« Catarratto 2018
– Salvatore Marino »TURI rosso« Nero d’Avola Pachino Eloro D.O.C. 2018
– Salvatore Marino »TURI rosso« Nero d’Avola Pachino Eloro D.O.C. 2017 (from Magnum bottle, not served during RAW WINE)
