Alice Feiring (one of the keynote speakers in our Speakers’ Corner) has been writing about low-intervention wines for many years. Three years ago, almost to the date of RAW WINE NYC, she launched an independent, English language newsletter, The Feiring Line, dedicated to low-intervention wines from around the world. It is read in seventeen different countries and costs $68 for seven-issues a year (see below of a brilliant discount that Alice has offered all our RAW WINE fans). As of next year it will even have its own dedicated subscription-based website equipped with a searchable database of all published wines, the articles and profiles.
Over the years The Feiring Line has focused on issues, ideas, and people who are the throbbing nerve of this wine scene. What’s inside? Short, informative and sweet. A dining section. A winemaker profile. A super geeky wine tech corner, but at the core of the issue is what to drink. She does about twenty wine recommendations an issue with symbols instead of stars or scores. At the fair many of the wineries and vignerons she writes about will be showing wines. Here’s just a sample of the ones she’s written about over the past few months. Some of them will be in NYC for the very first time. Be sure to check them out.
